Integrated Legal and Social Services

HIAS offers legal services, mental health and psychological support, economic empowerment support, social and protection services, refugee resettlement, temporary shelter assistance, and support to ensure access to food for refugees and asylum seekers in the United States and around the world.

HIAS provides specialized case management to help displaced people quickly access shelter, emergency aid, and essential services.

The organization works to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls, protect children’s rights, support survivors of torture and domestic or sexual violence, and advocate for refugee rights.

HIAS helps people understand their rights, navigate legal systems, and rebuild their lives with safety, dignity, and stability.

HIAS does not focus on removal defense.
