Legal Services

Human Rights Initiative (HRI) of North Texas provides free immigration legal services for people who have faced human rights abuses.

For minors under 18 who arrived without a parent (and sponsors), HRI helps with Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) (for those abused, neglected, or abandoned), U visas (for victims of serious crimes), VAWA relief (if abused by a U.S. citizen or green card spouse), and asylum (if fleeing persecution).

In addition, HRI offers case management, referrals for housing, food, and health services, and general information to help clients connect with community resources and stabilize their lives.

Services are available to residents of the North Texas area.

Counties served: Dallas, Tarrant.
