Legal Services

The Door serves New York City youth ages 12–24 with free, integrated services.

Its Legal Services Center represents young people in immigration (affirmative, removal, detained minors) and civil matters (family law, housing, public benefits, IDs, taxes), and offers Know Your Rights.

Youth also access counseling, health care, gender-affirming services, food and nutrition, education, jobs and internships, supportive housing services, and programs for runaway and homeless youth and foster care.

Services are available in English, Spanish, and French, with interpreters for other languages.

Membership is required and free.
