Legal Services

The Immigrant Justice Project at the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP) provides legal services and advocacy for low-income transgender, gender nonconforming, and intersex (TGNCI) immigrants.

Services include representation in applications for immigration status, adjustment of status, and help obtaining gender-affirming immigration documents such as Employment Authorization Documents (EADs), green cards, and naturalization certificates.

The project also assists with asylum, U and T visas, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) cases, DACA, TPS, SIJS, and family-based petitions.

Holistic support includes coordination around public benefits, healthcare, and Social Security access.
