Legal Services

Lutheran Social Services of New York provides free and low-cost immigration legal assistance through its Immigration Legal Program (ILP).

Services include Adjustment of Status, Asylum applications, Consular Processing, DACA, Employment Authorization, Family-based petitions, NACARA, Naturalization/Citizenship, Removal hearings, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), T visas, TPS, U visas, and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions.

The ILP also supports unaccompanied minors in Family and Immigration Courts and partners with the City of New York to assist newly arrived asylum seekers.

Services are offered in New York City, including the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.

They do not accept detained cases.
