Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York (CCANY) coordinates a federation of regional agencies serving immigrants, refugees, and low-income residents across ten counties of the Archdiocese.
Through its network, CCANY provides a comprehensive range of legal and social services that promote stability, self-sufficiency, and community integration.
Its Immigration and Refugee Services Division offers free or low-cost legal consultations and representation in matters such as citizenship and naturalization, family-based petitions, work authorization, DACA, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), asylum, and removal defense.
The organization also assists survivors of crime, domestic violence, and human trafficking through humanitarian relief options including VAWA, U-visa, T-visa, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS).
Beyond legal representation, Catholic Charities provides direct support for basic needs including food assistance, emergency housing, and rent or utility aid.
Additional programs include refugee resettlement, case management for unaccompanied children, youth education, employment readiness, and English and citizenship preparation classes.
Services are available regardless of faith, immigration status, or ability to pay.
Individuals may contact the centralized helpline for referrals to local Catholic Charities offices and community partners across the Archdiocese.
