Legal Services

The Legal Project offers free and confidential consultations with immigration attorneys to help individuals understand their immigration situations and possible options.

Staff attorneys may provide direct representation in qualified cases, including petitions under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), U-visas, T-visas, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), asylum, naturalization, and green card renewals.

The organization also offers presentations on immigration-related topics for community groups and service providers, including “Know Your Rights” sessions.

Services are available in Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, French, Cantonese, and through interpretation in other languages.

Counties served: Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, Washington
