Legal Services

Latin American Legal Defense and Education Fund (LALDEF) provides low-cost immigration legal services for low- and moderate-income immigrants (up to 250% FPL).

Their DOJ-recognized legal team assists with naturalization, adjustment of status, family petitions, green card and work permit renewals, DACA, TPS, SIJS, VAWA, and U and T visas. They also issue Community ID Cards and offer document support, translation, notarization, and informational resources.

Beyond legal services, LALDEF offers ESL, GED/HSE, and citizenship classes; the FUTURO youth mentoring and academic success program; parenting and family workshops through FUTURO Familia; and Latinas Unidas, a support and education group for Latina women.

They also conduct community outreach, Know Your Rights education, and referrals to additional social services.
